A no-nonsense looks-good-anywhere jersey. This Sigr signature cycling jersey is on the subtler side of our 2019 collection, and comes in a luscious deep purple. It has all the details any discerning rider is looking for, and its understated class makes it ideal for cool morning urban rides.
This cycling jersey is named after a flower that blooms in late summer and has bright purple flowers (known as Hydrangea in English).
Legend has it that the French botanist and explorer Philbert Commerson was on a voyage of exploration through Asia where only men were allowed. Philbert couldn't bear to be parted from his wife Hortense Barré, and so smuggled her along on the voyage dressed as a man pretending to be his servant. She was eventually discovered during the voyage but by that time it was too late to remove her. In 1759 he discovered and brought a beautiful flower back to Europe. Guess what he named it? After the lovely Hortense of course.
Hortensia is one of the few flowers to be named after a woman. We really like that.
