We were born in Umeå, in northern Sweden. Here, we live amongst nature as it lives amongst us. We cycle the roads and the mountains, we wake to the songs of birds in the morning and we are inspired by the wildlife growing all around us.
And as Swedes, we were raised with certain values. We were taught to take care of our surroundings and each other. Because here, equality, democracy and sustainability is something which is taken for granted. But we know that is not the case elsewhere. That’s why we know it is our duty and obligation to pass these values forward. And we do this, with Sigr.
Our mission states that everything we do, we do for an equal biking culture. And truly, we do. Because everything from our genderless design to our communication and core values are fed with this statement. We believe, that making the biking culture a more equal one, is something more important than anything. And to make this vision come true, we have to challenge our surroundings until the day comes when our Swedish values conquer worldwide and the question no longer needs to be asked.
This is the Sigr story. We call it the Sigr Revolution. And we need to tell it, as we need you to pass it forward. Because making the biking culture genderless with equality at its basis, is not something we can do on our own. We need you to pick up the fight and pass it on. Regardless of what your own gender, nationality or earlier beliefs say. This is something that we need to do, together.
So now that you’re done reading, we urge you to start moving. Telling, demanding and spreading the word. To the rest of the world. Let’s make a change. And let’s make that change, today. Join the Sigr revolution at sigr.cc.
We were born with a mission. Because the earth is moving, so are we.
Constantly forward. And we do it, as cyclists.
But as we do, the will of many to do the same is being rejected. By a culture that doesn't represent what the world stands for today.
We were born Swedish. And as Swedes, we believe that equality, democracy and sustainability should be the basis of everything we do.
Because we do a lot of things. But everything we do, is for an equal biking culture.
