Our new Riksettan is a great multi-purpose bib for indoor and outdoor cycling. The extra thin (yet opaque) fabric allows faster cooling when the ambient temperature is high, for example, when indoor training. The bib is just as at home outside out on the asphalt or gravel.
Our 3-D tailored Riksettan bibs are designed and built using fewer seams and a supremely comfortable soft and thin fabric. Fewer seams means higher comfort and less possibility of splitting. This bib is made without separate leg cuffs but with large silicon grippers. The result? Again, higher comfort on the legs than other bibs with cuffs. They also have the great side effect of not visibly pinching your legs thereby improving the 'look' of those thighs of steel 😉
The multi-layer laminated pad is made up of sections of varying density which match both the softer and harder parts of the body. Ultra high density perineal inserts reduce load on the typical pain points when the body is in the racing position. The "super air" base layer is breathable and quick dry. The upper layer closest to the body is soft and textured to stop slip and maximise comfort where the pad meets the body.
Again on the theme of comfort, the shoulder straps are wider than normal, spreading the load across more fabric reduces pressure. The subtle grey Sigr logo on the legs is reflective when illuminated. A little extra safety doesn't hurt.

Riksettan or Turistväg Riksettan is the name of a scenic route that goes from Vaggeryd in the north, through Värnamo, Ljungby, Markaryd, and ends in Örkelljunga in the south. The route is part of the classic national road Riksväg 1 and goes parallel with the E4 and the river Lagan. A beautiful optional road today.
