Cycling With POW Sweden
Snow, ice and bikes are usually not something that go together well. Winter tends to keep many cyclists off the roads due to the increased risk of slips and slides while riding.
Even so, winter is an important season in many parts of the world, and it shapes landscapes, wildlife, culture, and the way people live. Losing it would change far more than the riding conditions we talk about as cyclists.
"Protect Our Winters" is a growing global community of people who want to encourage practical choices in day to day life. Their focus is on raising awareness, starting conversations, and inspiring people to look at how travel and lifestyle habits can be adjusted in small and realistic ways.
We Embrace Imperfect Advocacy
POW takes a pragmatic approach. They believe that progress happens step by step and that everyone can contribute in their own way. Their current focus includes encouraging people to think about travel habits and how different modes of transport shape daily life.

The Elephant on Two Wheels
There is a clear link between POW’s focus on travel habits and the role of cycling in everyday movement. Cycling is accessible, simple, and fits naturally into the message of encouraging people to look at how they get from place to place.
