As many of you probably know by now, our jerseys are often named after flowers. Our new recycled jersey, Dahlia, is no exception. This jersey has been a long time in the making and we are happy and proud to finally have it ready for prime time!
Racing heritage. Modern styling.
Inspired by classic racing jerseys, the new Dahlia jersey is minimalistic in its appearance. With a slightly more focused race-fit cut, comprising a somewhat shorter front and lower collar, this jersey is designed for those who will be spending some quality time in the racing position.
It's a given, for us at least, that the jersey will be available for both male and female road warriors.
Dual fabric construction means the hybrid mesh arm and back sections aid ventilation while the smooth front section means you slip through the air like a dolphin through water. The dual fabrics also give a new look to the jerseys that we really love.
A carefully chosen deep-dyed warm brown hue combines with accent stripes on the arms and back to create a refined feeling of speed and style that really does make you want to ride fast!
As with all Sigr jerseys, it's all in the details. You really have to see the jersey up close to appreciate the care and attention our designer has put into creating this beauty.
For the feature hungry among you, enjoy!

The future is recycled and it starts now
We already have recycled jerseys in our jersey and bib collections but in 2023 Sigr is taking its next serious step towards higher sustainability. We want to make all of our jerseys recycled. Both Signature and Pro. This sounds easy. But it's not. The higher cost of the ultra quality recycled materials means that we have to make very careful choices in development, marketing and communication. We know you understand the importance of this move and hope you will take a stand with us.
Fun Sigr fact:
So why the name 'Dahlia'? This is where the Swedes come in. The stem was named in honour of the Swedish botanist Anders Dahl, though it was rooted in some controversy. Namely an insistence amongst German botanists that the plant be named Georgina, after their own star botanist, Johann Gottlieb Georgi. Despite the name, we like to think of the Dahlia as a flower that comes in many different colours and flourishes globally. A great metaphor for the peace we humans should strive for.
A flower can come in many shapes and colours, like the Dahlia. We would love to involve you in the development of this new chapter in Sigr jerseys and ask you to give us your opinion on what additional colours you think we should choose to make this great new jersey in. Please comment or message in any channel with your colour ideas :)
